Lunch & Learn

The AACH values our platform. As professionals in this field, we created our monthly Lunch and Learn series in the summer of 2024 to introduce new topics and conversations from a member of our board to other curious, evolving professionals. A new topic is presented at each meeting, occurring on the third Friday of each month. These meetings are $25 per class and last one hour, starting at noon CT. Interested? Hypnosis Reinforcement Sessions: a guide to giving effective direct suggestions while clients are in hypnosis.

Presented by Jeanne Clark, LCSW, DSW.

Do you ever wonder why giving people suggestions sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t?

Do you ever wonder if the way you structure sessions and give direct suggestions is the most helpful approach?

Allowing clients time to relax and absorb positive messages is a healing experience. Clients learn to relax their bodies and minds more deeply. Relaxing in hypnosis reduces anxiety, relieves stress, and can prevent relapse of symptoms. These positive sessions increase rapport and strengthen trust in the therapeutic relationship. They also provide an opportunity for effective psychoeducation. Reinforcement communicates to the client that taking good care of themselves is important and healthy; still, deciding what suggestions to give and how to structure the session can be challenging.

During this one CE Lunch & Learn workshop, you will learn tools for improving your hypnosis practice by increasing the effectiveness of reinforcement sessions.
